IRAN: Petrochemical products sale stood at 6 $ billion

Total petrochemical products sale by the Petrochemical Commercial Company, including exports, stood at six billion dollars during the first 4.5 months of the Iranian calendar year (since 21 March to 6 August). 

According to a report by Shana, the company, a subsidiary of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company, exported petrochemical products worth 4.3 billion dollars. 

Total weight of the products was 9.3 million tons. 

During the mentioned period, 45.5 percent of the petrochemical products have been exported to Far East, 22 percent to the Middle East, 12 percent to Europe, 12 percent to India, 7.5 percent to the South East Asia and 1 percent to the Central Asia and African countries. 

Petrochemical Commercial Company plans to produce 44 million tons of petrochemical products worth 13.820 billion dollars during the current Iranian calendar year 1389 (ending 20 March 2011).
