INDIA: Smt Walia congratulates Jediiians at Senior Citizen's Fashion Show

JD Institute of Fashion Technology , on the occasion of World Elder's Day organized a Fashion Show for the Senior Citizens' on the theme "Bollywood Voyage" at Safdarjung Club.

The Models for the show were none other than our Senior Citizens who portrayed the Famous Movie Characters from Bollywood Industry like Sunil Dutt, Guru Dutt, Amitabh Bachhan, Rajendra Kumar, Waheeda Rehmaan, Madhubala, and, Deepika Padukone to quote a few.

The event was graced by Smt. Shiela Dikshit, the Chief Minister of Delhi as the Chief Guest Present on the occasion was Smt Kiran Walia, MLA South Delhi as the Guest of Honor.

Speaking on the occasion Smt Shiela Dikshit said, "It gives me great pleasure to see the enthusiasm of the elderly participants on the occasion of World Elder's Day.

The way they have been styled by the students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, it clearly indicates that these senior Citizen's are young at heart and for them age is no bar."

The Guest of Honor Smt Kiran Walia congratulated the Jediiians for their brilliant choreography and styling. She said, "To see these elder's as models and performing in a Fashion Show is a great achievement in itself.

The theme "Bollywood Voyage" takes them to the memory lane of their College Life when they used to imitate their favorite Film Stars."

The Executive Director Mr R C Dalal and Director Ms Rupal Dalal of JD Institute of Fashion Technology were awarded with Memento by Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit.

The organizers of the event were Efforts Group, AAN Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi Round Table No. 5 and Delhi RWA's Joint Front and Rotary Club of Delhi South-West.
