GLOBAL: Schutt Sports Reaches Apparel and Product Deal with Krypton Sports

Schutt Sports , the world's leading maker of football helmets and faceguards, has reached agreement with Krypton Sports, of Carlsbad, California, to extend it's industry leading brand into a new line of on field gear, as well as off field branded apparel.

Krypton Sports will be introducing the first-ever line of Schutt football gloves, to go head-to-head with other more established brands in that category.

"No other brand in the industry equates as well to player protection as Schutt does, thanks to their football helmets like the ION 4D™ and AiR XP™," says Bryan Smeltzer, VP/Division Manager of Krypton Sports. "Now, no one in the industry can match our new ION™ and DNA™ position specific football gloves. They feature patent pending protective technology, along with Griptite™ traction and second-skin, pre-curved palm fit. Our goal was to combine extreme game day performance with unsurpassed, authentic on-field protection."

Along with football gloves, Krypton Sports will be producing the first-ever line of branded apparel for Schutt, as well.

The new line of branded Schutt apparel will include shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, performance wear, headwear and other accessory items.

Schutt will utilize its traditional channel of team dealers for distribution while Krypton Sports will expand the company's presence in other retail channels.
