Williams started Modern Kids Wear in August 2008 and found a need for a store that had well-made children's clothing that were available at affordable prices. "Clothing for kids can be expensive nowadays," said Williams. "I thought this site would make it easier for families who don't have the money to go to a pricy department store."

The clothes that are featured in ModernKidsWear.com aren't rags or irregular sized clothes - they are actual name brand merchandise that varies in style, from elegant to athletic. With styles changing all the time, Williams insists that he features the latest trends in fashion.

"We'll be coming out with new clothing all the time," he said. "There are so many new clothes, I don't even know where to begin. I would suggest checking the site everyday."

In addition to bringing in new clothes, Williams has also launched a blog, www.ModernKidsWearInfo.com. The blog has tips on the latest fashion styles, as well as product testimonials. "The blog is an exciting part of the site," said Williams. "It's really great to see what people have to say."

While many people may see the currently economic downturn as a hopeless wasteland, Williams sees the light at the end of the tunnel, largely due in part to websites like his.

"I feel that with Modern Kids Wear, I'm able to give families, especially ones with growing children, the opportunity to wear nice, well-made clothes that aren't hand-me-downs," said Williams. "Children aren't a burden and we shouldn't make them feel or dress like as such."
