USA: $21,000 Bracelet Plays With the Light and Dark Sides of Love

Ingenuity and glamour are romantically linked in a multi-faceted chain bracelet showing the dark and light sides of passion, the latest addition to Houman Jewelry Designs' award-winning LUZ Collection.

The $21,000 reversible LUZ One bracelet features star-shaped, 18-Karat, white gold pieces embedded with 3.00-Karat total weight of black and white diamonds, one on each side. Interlocked by white gold rings, the two sides finally meet at a precision clasp, detailed with the flames and embers of a love ignited. Mimicking the design of the ONE Luz ring, the two hearts merge into one.

The LUZ One bracelet is just one versatile piece in the collection's edgy and luxurious line of elegant rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Featuring intricate patterns and flowing beds of filigree, the pieces are richly embellished with pave-set rubies and white and black diamonds. The One bracelet is available exclusively at Neiman Marcus in Las Vegas.

The LUZ collection has graced the catwalks of New York and Miami fashion weeks followed by appearances at the 22nd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Grammy Awards and the Independent Film Festival. In addition, Slash of Guns & Roses, Sammy Hager, Grandmaster Flash, Michael J. Fox, Susan Sarandon and Cuba Gooding Jr. have all been spotted donning pieces from the LUZ Collection.

Entrepreneur and designer Houman Omidifar, president and founder of Houman Jewelry Design, specializes in intricate and innovative fine jewelry.

The accomplished jeweler has garnered worldwide attention for the distinctive LUZ Collection, which is his latest line. Launched in February 2006, LUZ has become Houman's most popular seller. The line was recently selected by one of the nation's most exclusive purveyors: Neiman Marcus. Starting next month, LUZ will be a featured collection among the store's fine jewelry lines at Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.

Born into a family of jewelers, Houman spent his spare time absorbed in his parents' luxury jewelry store. He started his own business in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in 1998 with just $1,000 in savings. Houman took the humble Nantucket basket and redesigned it into a successful line of bracelets, pendants, earrings and charms. He has since earned a reputation for providing innovative craftsmanship, deep personalization and customized jeweled pieces of art, and earning a Platinum Guild Award.

In 2003, Houman launched his first signature collection, and has since created The Heart Collection and The Floating Collection, among others, before creating LUZ.

Houman trained at the best technical jewelry school in North America, The George Brown College of Applied Arts and Technology in Toronto, Canada, graduating at the top of his class. He is currently based in Coronado, California.
