CHANDIGARH: Fashion Technology Park Project at Mohali in Chandigarh will Create Global Environments with International Standards. CEO of Fashion Technology Park Project, Mr. Jagjit Singh Kochhar said here on November 09.

Mr. Hafeez Contractor had designed the proposed Fashion Technology Park at Mohall.
Mr. Hafeez Contractor is most renowned for creating some of the country's largest multi-facility layouts and building designs, those are unique in concept; said Mr. Jagjit Singh Kochhar.
Mr. Singh was talking to the reporters in Mount View Hotel at Chandigarh, during a two day's Seminar on subject of "India as a global hub in fashion".
Mr. Singh explained Mr. M.M.Khanna that this proposed Fashion Technology Complex, had been promoted by the Chandigarh Overseas Private ltd. Ltd, a Greenfield Venture Group who had taken on a series of new projects and developments in the value-added real estate segments such as MultiComplex, Shopping, Malls and Industial Parks.
He said that it would be situated in Sector-90 of Mohali & completed in next 18 months. He told that this park would be an integrated infrastructure of 14 acres of land, with a total construction of 11.5 lac sq.feet at the cost of Rs 220 crores.
Mr. Singh said in his address that The Fashion Business had been one of the largest and most visible industries today. He said that furthermore, globalization had led to assimilation of disparities in historical cultures, economic levels, principles and political freedom of different countries led to reinvention of lifestyles, concerns and consumption practices.
He said that Global fusion had created gigantic business opportunities for the Fashion Design Industry.
He said that the Fashion Technology Park, would response to the opening up of the Global Fashion market to the Indian Industry.
He said that this boom would entail India streamlining and synergizing its talent and resources in fashion, textile and garment sector.
He said that the proposed park would suit the emerging markets and consumer needs, integrated facilities; also develop research and designing, development of material & resource base, product innovation & prototype development, up gradation of skills & technologies and back-end of potential markets and business modeling.
He said that this project would posses the potential of engineering, a low cost economic revolution in the northern region complementing the entrepreneurial skills of Punjab.
Mr. Singh explained that The Business School of Fashion would form the hub of the Fashion Technology Park, which would develop and deliver a repository of acquaintance, innovation, product development related services.
This school would serve as knowledge centre dealing with design orientation, design forecast and trends as well as research and documentation.
The school would also reinforce the infrastructure of Fashion Technology Park by way of housing a library, resource centre, display and exhibition areas, computer and photography Lab., seminar and conference rooms and ancillary spares.
He said that in this proposed park, the intelligent building concepts would be the integral component of the park. This would enable dynamic networking of every dimension with in the park, internally as well as globally through the dedicated Information Technology Infrastructure.
He said that Industrial Zone would be another centre at the park, which would face amphitheatre along with galleries, design studios and workshop spaces would provide a platform for cross cultural exchanges.
He said that these exchanges would create flavor and ambience of a global village. He said that the zone would be of a-class construction, intelligent buildings, 100% power back up, centrally air-conditioned and terraced gardens.
He said that the Warehouse, measuring 28617 sq. ft. at ground and first floor would be kept for custom bonded exports. Warehouse building would be connected with separate lifts and staircases.
He said that Shopping Mall would be the part of commercial wing, which would contain Anchor stores, large mail area, retail service outlets, connected with elevators an with sufficient public amenities.
He said that the park would have Residential Zone, which would have the facilities like common reception facilities, lobby area, provision of mechanical laundry, cyber café, terraced gardens, and dormitory facilities for drivers, car washing facilities, club house and professional security system.
This area would have four, ten storied blocks each having 37 flats, which would be with master bed room, two bed rooms, attached bath and dress area, dining room, open kitchen and terrace with servant room attached with kitchen.
Balconies would be another charm with every part of these flats.
