INDIA: Sops to Textile Units in Eleventh Plan[Aug 27, 2010] The Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) has approved a revival plan for the National Textile Corporation (NTC) at a total cost of Rs.9102.72 crore which includes closure of unviable mills and revival of viable mills. As per the revival plan, 77 unviable mills have been closed and 18 mills have so far been modernized by NTC.
