Lakme India Fashion Week 2003 :: Neelam Saxena

Fashion for Neelam Saxena is all about evolving, refining and emerging with a whole new look. Winner of the "Best designer of the millenium' award given by Global Fashions, she has managed to carve a niche for herself in the designing world since her debut in October 1998. Her boutique 'NELS' is a chic outlet, which offers myriad designs to suit different tastes. Besides NELS, Neelam also designs for corporate giants such as GAIL and Mercedez Benz.

THEME FOR LIFW 2003 -"SIZE-CULTURE"

"There is no such thing as a perfect physique!"

The statement-holds true especially with respect to the common man. Most of the people have some idea about the way they'd want to look, which often, is usually not they say, they are.

My collection is an attempt towards allowing the men to make most of their physiques, by camouflaging what they consider their bad points, and
emphasizing their goods ones, Through "Sizeculture" : 3 new I special sizes have been produced (as the name suggests!) -with due consideration towards their unavailability in the market "39 (XS)", "45 (XL)" & "47 (XXL)".

The collection comprises of:
Shirts - a unique amalgamation of the 'silhouette of a shirt' & 'construction technique' of a jacket.

Kurta-pants - redefining the ethnic look for men with knee-length kurtas & tapered / straight pants.

Long Jackets (ethnic) - sewing the occasional needs of the customers - these could be teamed up with the line of kurta - pants.
