Lakme India Fashion Week 2003 :: Kiran Uttam Ghosh

She has trained under renowned British designer Jasper Conran, and this exposure has definitely given her clothes an international appeal. The look is understated, with shaped silhouettes based on drapes, and cut. In January 2002 she received the prestigious Kingfisher Fashion Award which has in the past been given to Rohit Bal , Tarun Tahiliani, Suneet Varma and Ritu Kumar.
She represented India at the Singapore Fashion Festival held in March 2002 along with Rajesh Pratap Singh and Rina Dhaka as well as International designers like Jean Paul Gaultier ,Salvatore Feragammo and Kenzo. She studied fashion at the Sophia Polytechnic ,Mumbai ;graduated first class first and received the Award for Best all round performance for both years. Her KIMONO label is currently retailing from Ffolio in Bangalore, Ogaan in Delhi, Ensemble, Melange and Vama in Mumbai, Elahe and Stanza in Hyderabad, Elan in Ahmedabad, Syntoni in Pune, Espee, Zenon and Intrigue in Calcutta, Variety Silk House and RCKC in London.
