A graduate of JD Institute of Fashion Designing, he started his career by designing for the store Roopam, during which he gained the required expertise and entered Bollywood.

In a very short time he has managed to create waves in the fashion industry by designing for big names like Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, Rekha, Sridevi, Aftaab Shivdasani, Amisha Patel, Diya Mirza, Esha Deol, Bipasha Basu, Manisha Koirala, Raveena Tandon. After establishing himself in the industry he decided to branch out into the commercial aspect of the trade.

He opened a store retailing exclusive ladies & men designer wear named ROCKY-S. This Brand label selling prêt was greatly appreciated. The drive to gain international fame & success took him to Düsseldorf - Germany where he participated in the IGEDO Fair in 1996 September. Now he plans on venturing into the international market and globally be recognized as a trendsetter.

Besides his own store, Rocky S, he is presently the Fashion Director and Consultant at Benzer and will shortly open a fashion lifestyle store called 'Boulevard Benzer'.

DRAMA, OPULENCE and LOUD are some of the words that describe the thematic interpretation of Rocky's collection this year. The look is very bold and striking, with vivid, rich and vibrant hues enhanced by the use of mirror and stone work, bringing out the gilded look.
