Sun Goddess
Sun Goddess celebrates and tells the stories of the people of South Africa in days gone by. The stories are deeply woven in the exciting design combinations of luxurious modern fabrics, regal ancient designs and embellishments, as well as a good dose of pure nostalgia.
At Sun Goddess, we get our inspiration from our strong heritage which is rich in history and culture. It is a celebration of our divinity as gods and goddesses. In celebrating our heritage our designs link our past, present and future. It is today`s take on ancient style .It is about our identity, assertion and a projection into the future.
We have six stores in South Africa including a bridal studio, and were honoured to win the 2006 Designer of The Year at the Cape Town Fashion Awards. We recently showcased at the London Fashion Week in September.
Theme of the Collection: A tribute to the regal majesty and timeless glamour of past African civilizations. The collection is inspired by the magnificent times when Africans lived free, and ruled their lands with pride. As stories of legends are told, sheer fantasy unfolds; that of Africa`s past splendour, once more, made tangible. A mystical African Kingdom brought to life. We reclaim the grandeur, pomp and ceremony that live continuously in the ripe imagination of every true African.
