Launched in 2003 by the designer duo Bhumika and Shyamal Shodhan the label SHYAMAL & BHUMIKA is all about understated elegance.
The label blends India`s beautiful textile heritage with modern-day styling. Passionate about the artisan techniques like appliqué and hand embroideries, the designers incorporate influences from nature , history and travels in their collections.
Flirty details like ruffles used with handwoven silks take a fresh and feminine take on vintage. One can see a blend of modern silhouettes and Indian craftsmanship in the collections.
Truly luxurious, infinitely wearable, and minimal is how one can describe this label.
Theme of the Collection: Colours of a shadow. What`s in me that lies like a shadow passively serene , calm ... watching from within an unnoticed part of me, unaffected by the constant change. It is, though it appears not to be, the soul of my being, the voice of my heart the colour of the shadow within me.
