Sandip Biswas
After post graduating in life Science (bio-Chemistry and molecular biology), Sandip Biswas did his graduation from NIFT (Mumbai), 1998. For the last 10 years, he has been working with high fashion, gaining everyday little knowledge in patternmaking, embroidery, mainly surface ornamentation. He has worked with Shahab Durazi, Nerendra Kumar Ahmed, Armani (Italy), Oscar De La Renta (US), Valentino (France) etc. as an embroidery consultant. Currently selling from Melange (Mumbai), Kali (Kolkata) under the label Sex-soul Expressed.
Theme of the Collection: This Collection for the LFW (Spring/Summer 2007) is not based on a theme, but it`s an inspiration. I try to get ideas from every little thing around us and translate them in abstract manners on my clothes. Inspired by 19th century impressionism philosophy of art movement, I am trying to offer a visual feast, the colour of fashion.
