Kallol Datta - Fashion Designer Profile
 Kallol graduated in Fashion Design from NIFT, Kolkata in 2004; during college days he also freelanced as a fashion stylist. After NIFT he felt the need to expand his understanding of fashion on the whole, hence he followed it up with a Womenswear degree from Central St. Martins, London, graduating in 2006. He believes that his garments belong to the forward thinking school of avant garde, which translates into well thought of, wearable pieces. However, Kallol looks upon past masters and visionaries like Cristobal Balenciaga and Madeline Vionnet as major influences.
Kallol label'Kallol Datta 1955', was unveiled at the Lakme Fashion Week, Mumbai SS08. The label, subsequently has been featured in magazines and editorials around the globe; Autore, Elle, FAD, Platform and Verve to name a few.'Kallol Datta 1955' currently retails from Studio 1955 in Kolkata, Anonym in Hyderabad and Melange in Mumbai.
