Aneeth and Chinar - Fashion Designer Profile
 ‘gaba’ creates simple clothing, utilizing indigenous skills and knowledge of ancient textile traditions of the country. Most garments are inspired by the local dressing styles that one comes across in the remotest of areas. gaba recreates and adapts these styles for the modern consumer who seeks a similar aesthetic, at the same time looks for ease, comfort and pleasure in their clothes. The label is launched by two textile graduates Aneeth Arora and Chinar Farooqui from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Former having studied Fashion from National Institute of Fashion Technology, and latter having a background in Fine Arts from M.S.University. The two came together after realizing their similar views and ideas on design, and after having worked together for almost a year, they now decide to call themselves ‘textile and dress makers’. Local clothing trends are what inspire them and therefore ‘ gaba’, a Marwari word for clothing used by the local people of Rajasthan.
