"AAMA –TEX" - Asia Apparel Machinery & Accessories Exhibition Incorporating Textile Machinery & Leather Machinery and Accessories Exhibition, returns for its seventh showing at the Singapore Expo Halls 3 & 4 from 20 to 23 March 2007.
Organised by the Sewing Machine Traders Association (Singapore), the triennial AAMA-TEX has, over the years, endeavored to provide a robust market place for textile and apparel machinery manufacturers and international buyers, and in particular, to enable Asian textile and apparel machinery manufacturers to upgrade their machinery to better compete in the dynamically evolving international arena. Since its modest beginnings in 1989, where it took up 6,500 square metres, AAMA-TEX has also grown to become the largest event of its kind in South and South East Asia, taking up 15,000 square metres in 2004.
A key unique feature of AAMA-TEX is in its ability to attract foreign visitors. The last show, AAMA-TEX 2004 saw trade visitors from 52 countries and regions. This time, we have more than 250 international leading brand names from some 25 countries and regions on show, and are expecting 5,000 buyers from 60 countries and regions. A breakdown of foreign trade visitors by countries/regions is as follows:
AAMA-TEX has also been accorded the status of an Approved International Fair (AIF) for the fifth consecutive time (Year 1995, 1998, 2001, 2004 and 2007), a quality mark awarded by the Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau in recognition of its high international participation of exhibitors and visitors.
