Banswara Garments focuses on quality

(Contd. from page 3...)

The Banswara Group is adding further capacity expansions in this area at an SEZ Zone near Surat. Phase I will be operational in June ’07, manufacturing 2000 trousers per day and the capacity of the garment factory is backed by fabric manufacturing and design facilities, capable of producing up to a million meters per month of dress pant fabric.

The company believes that the quality is critical in terms of both visual defects and measurement conformance for every trouser and ensures that quality is maintained.

BSL inspect 100% of the fabric for visual flaws and flag all its defects. Fusing Shrinkage is determined for each fabric and the suitable fusing material and fusing conditions are determined for each fabric.  In the Sewing line, there is a process quality control system with four stations where there is 100% inspection of the parts. There is one roaming QC monitoring for every 20-machine operators within the sewing line and end line checking of every non-pressed pant before finishing.  The goods are pressed and given a final check for presentation, measurements and any other visible flaws. Later, they are ticketed and packed as per instructions with a final warehouse inspection.  The logistics team at Banswara ensures expert handling and best shipping solutions to guarantee that the consignment reaches its destination in the desired time frame.

The regular customer of BSL include Devred, Jules, Splash Stores, Max Stores, Douglas & Grahame, Derek Williams, Dunnes Stores & Korovessis Bros in the International Market and Park Avenue, Lifestyle Stores & Arrow India in the domestic market which contributes 60 percent to sales, while the export market contributes 40 percent.
