INDIA: [LFW] Vintage Glamour from Kashmir by Sajid Dhar

Sajid Dhar under his label 'Swagger by Saj' showcased an exotic and sophisticated collection at Jabong Stage during Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

Inspired by the culture and history in Kashmir along with the turning of the seasons; the range infused western club elements with vintage glam undertones that gave each piece a distinct charm.

The colour palette comprised regal, bold shades of ruby red, periwinkle blue, sultry silver, pigment black, winter grey, mustard, coral and nude. The silhouettes remained feminine and free-flowing in the form of dresses and gowns that were versatile for any occasion from cocktail parties, formal lunches to Red Carpet events.

Soft fabrics like organza and shimmer material were used to give the collection an ethereal feminine flow while structured detailing in the form of delicate thread-work, beaded collars, shoulder accents and ornaments within the fabric made each piece as distinct as it was decadent.

One outfit which stood out was a sleek fire red gown, with a corset top along with a dramatic Edwardian collar that set off fireworks.

"Swagger by Saj" from Sajid Dhar was an exciting and artistically wearable collection with an edgy contradicting balance which is sure to strike a chord with women who like it smart and sexy.
